Sponsor a vine

How you can help us

Your chance to help create and be a part of London’s first organic vineyard since the Middle Ages!
It costs £16,100 to establish an acre of vines and trellising. The Governors at Capel Manor College have donated the use of the land for free throughout the life of the vineyard and have sponsored the planting of the first acre of vineyard. Now it is up to us! Every penny raised will help us achieve our vision of an organic community vineyard for London.

Corporate Sponsorship:
Forty Hall Vineyard offers a variety of ways in which your company can support our work. Your support will enable us to make our vision of an organic vineyard for London a reality; it will enable us to offer a range of educational and volunteering opportunities to local people, to set up a horticultural therapy project for people experiencing mental distress, to offer training opportunities to unemployed and vulnerable people, to offer great active days out in the open to city dwellers without gardens.

You may wish to fund the establishment of a row of vines (see Pioneer Friend of Forty Hall Vineyard) or you may prefer to champion a particular element of our work such as education or horticultural therapy courses. Perhaps you would like to sponsor an event such as wine tasting, a lecture series or the annual harvest party. Or you may choose to fund the maintenance of the vineyard through regular payments such as pay-roll giving.

We would be delighted to meet with you to discuss how best we could help you meet your Corporate Social Responsibility targets and to explore the many support options available.

Pioneer Corporate Sponsorship: We are also looking for special corporate supporters who want to be part of the development of this new project by supporting the cost of establishing an acre of vineyard. It costs £16,100 to plant an acre of vineyard. As a Pioneer Sponsor, your support would be recognised by being offered:

Donations:
All donations to fund this exciting work will be most gratefully received. If you are a UK tax payer, you can help us even more by agreeing to sign a Gift Aid form. This allows us to claim back the Tax on your donation and we get an extra 28 pence for every pound you give helping your donation go further. This means that £100 can be turned into £128 as long as your donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn’t cost you a thing. All donations, large or small, one-off or regular are now eligible for Gift Aid when accompanied by a simple Gift Aid declaration. To quality for Gift Aid, you must be a UK taxpayer and pay an amount of Income Tax and or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the tax that Forty Hall Vineyard reclaims on your donations in the Tax Year.

Volunteers: The vineyard welcomes volunteers to help with all aspects of the project from fundraising and marketing, management and planning, as well as activities in the vineyard such as planting, vineyard maintenance and pruning. As the vineyard develops there will be more to do on and around the vineyard including pruning and harvesting, helping in the on-site shop; running stalls at wine fairs, local markets and tasting events; helping with promotion and sales; leading guided tours of the vineyard.
