Our Plans
We plan to:
- grow grapes of the best possible quality for use in wine production
- produce excellent still and sparkling wines for the discerning London market
- offer the lowest “wine miles” to London of any commercial vineyard in the UK
- help meet the growing demand for locally produced wines from London’s burgeoning sustainable restaurant sector
- become a financially and environmentally sustainable social enterprise offering a range of social and educational benefits to local people
- involve the local community in all aspects of vineyard production and business development
- develop projects to further engage local people in activities and learning related to vineyard
- serve as a demonstration project for local gardeners, allotment holders, hobby wine makers and anyone interested in learning more about growing vines or making wine
- research and demonstrate best practice in organic and biodynamic viticulture
- operate as an information exchange hub and demonstration project for the sustainable production, packaging and distribution of wine
